Hand weaved  rope hammocks from an industrial strength soft-spun nylon braid. In fact, we braid eight individual strands over a centre core.

The yarn used is the same yarn used to make fish net for the local fishing industry, and has a tensile strength of 1000 lbs. This UV stabilized rope is meant to be in and out of salt water, in the sunshine, wet or dry, so it’s rot and mildew resistant.

The colored yarns are solution-dyed, and will not bleed or fade. With very minimal care and maintenance, your hand-crafted hammock will easily last for over 15 years.

Nylon rope hammocks are made from  triple braided rope that's machine made , in house, designed specifically for strength and longevity. The rope is then hand woven in an open weave approx. 3in.(see caution) and connected with kiln dried, 1in.x2in.solid and durable, hardwood spreaders made from  Canadian maple. The entire hammock is UV stabilized and treated with rot and mildew protectant. Overall length varies from 12.6ft. to 13.6 ft.

• Bay Hammock nylon rope is made in house to have 8 strands of yarn braided around a centre core. Small nicks and cuts in one strand will not weaken the integrity of the braid.
• Our nylon rope has a tensile strength of 1000 lbs. and will support up to 450 lbs for practical every day use.
• The rope has been treated for rot, mildew and ultra violet protection.
